Home

Home can mean different things to different people but this is what it means to me. My home is safe, loving, warm and happy. I feel safe in my home. I am loved in my home. My home is warm. I am happy in my home. My home. It has my bed, my clothes, my furniture, my family, but it also has my love, my life, my happiness and my comfort. I feel at home at the rec center where I swim. I feel happy and safe. I smell the chlorine as I walk onto the pool deck. I feel the water on my body as I dive into the pool, the water is cold and it feels so nice. My teammates make me feel happy, safe and loved, they're more like friends than just teammates. The neighborhood I live in. My neighbors. We have a little community. It's like a family, my neighborhood family. We share everything with each other, if I want to use their zipline I can, if They want to use our skating rink or my basketball course they can. That is what home means to me. Feeling safe, loved and happy but most importantly to be able to be me. I believe that everyone should have a home like mine.
