A Place to Call Home

More than 150M people are suffering from homelessness worldwide. That is about two percent of the human population! This is usually the result of war, natural disasters, increase in the cost of housing and many more reasons. The worst part about it is that none of them have a place to call home. To me, home is the place that you live in. You should feel comfortable and safe in your home. A home is filled with love and joy almost all the time. Most people have a bed in their home. They do not realize it, but while they sleep in a warm and cozy bed, people are suffering from hunger and thirst and wish they had a warm bed. Most people have a fridge to keep their food from spoiling. People who only have enough money to buy food wish they had a fridge to keep that food from spoiling. People who have a home usually have a person taking care of them or staying with them to make them feel comfortable and to stand up for them. People who are homeless usually are in danger and nobody dares to help sometimes. They abuse them for doing bad and illegal stuff and will not give them money. Some kids nowadays are spoiled and ask for anything they want and get angry if they do not get it. If only they saw the people on the streets and felt bad for them and gave Them the money instead of using it on clothing, handbags, and toys. We need to help them and that is why I stand up for habitat for humanity and other charities! Go Habitat for Humanity!
