Home is to me

Home is where I can play in my backyard. Home is watching a movie with my dogs and family. Home is where memories are made, happy, sad and wonderful. Home means having space and being who you are. Home is where you feel safe. Home is having a family or someone to love you. Home is where you feel comfortable. Home is where you can rest when you are not well. Home is where I can be with my pets, even the ones who aren’t there. Home is where I feel connected to loved ones who have passed. Home is where I am with you. Home is knowing that everything will be ok. Home is knowing that people will help me. Home is where you can have your own space. Home is being with your sisters or brothers. Home is where I can grow up and learn from my family. Home is where my mom can hug me and for my dad to tell me that I am strong. Home is where I can bake my favorite things. Home is where I can look back and learn from mistakes. Having hot chocolate on a cold day. Home is where I can dance and sing. Home is where I can draw my heart out.
