What Home Means To Me

What do you think of when you think of home? What I think of when I think of home is a place where I know I can feel safe. It is a place where I can spend time with my family and a place where I can have slumber parties with my friends. When I am in my home I feel protected by my family and pets. I also feel like I can be myself no matter what, like when I sing and dance no one makes fun of me. What I see when I think of my home is a large body of lake water that is behind my house. I see me and my dogs running and playing in my backyard. I also see me, my friends, and my family swimming and splashing in the lake. What home really means to me is that I know I have somewhere to go at the end of the day. I know that I have a comfy bed to sleep in at night, and I know that I have a family to rely on if/when things are tough. Before I end what home means to me I just want to say that I am very happy to be a part of the Meaning of Home operation. I am happy to know that just me writing about what home means to me can make someone else be able to have a home to be safe and feel protected in. Yes it would be nice to win an ipad or a tablet and a pizza party for my class but what really makes me happy is that I am helping others by entering this contest.
