Home is Like an African Party

My home is like an African party because it is colorful and crazy. I love my home and my family but some things are just different like for instance, we always have food. You would think that Africans come for the actual party but they don’t. Most of them come for the food because African party’s have tons of food. Most Africans love Jollof rice and Stew with white rice, but so do I. Eating African food is having a party in your mouth. But anyway. If you go to an African party you will see them wearing the most colorful clothes and the clothing they wear is called Native. Native is a colorful thin clothing you would usually wear to a fancy event. But not on a regular occasion like sleeping at home. African parties are also very loud and not just because of the music. There is a lot of yelling because people don’t want to turn off the music but they want to talk. There is always some sort of music in my house like from Spotify from a speaker, or someone is singing, or someone is listening to a song on Youtube. But it’s not just at home, it's in the car too. I love Nigerian music even though I don’t always understand the words. African music usually involves bongos, drums, and sometimes even piano’s. African songs are jazzing. You can dance to them and they're very catchy like they will get stuck in your head. But I don’t mind because I love singing. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for giving me the chance to share about my family and my home. I hope you liked my essay. The End.
