Meaning of Home

Home can mean tons of different things, like a person, place or even a sport! What does home mean to you? To me home means safety and sports, and the most important family. Home is a place where you can cry, laugh, and make great memories with others! Some people don’t have good memories, like sleeping on the streets or not having food or water. Those are the things some people have as memories Hi, my name is lucy and I will be talking about the meaning of home to me. Number one sports. To get started I will be talking about what sports mean to me. By sports I mean soccer, hockey, dance etc. One of my most loved sports is soccer. The reason why I love soccer is because I have a lot of friends on my team like Adrianna. Adrianna is one of my best friends, it’s a very big reason why I love soccer. Fun fact I met Adrianna in soccer. I have a bunch of other reasons why I love soccer, but I will only share three reasons. The second reason is money. Some people can’t afford to pay for sports. That’s why I am so fortunate to be able to play soccer. It’s incredibly sad to hear young kids can’t play sports because their family doesn’t have enough money. That’s why I am extremely fortunate to be playing soccer with my friends and others. My last reason is that it just makes me very happy and joyful. Soccer makes me feel like I am in the zone. Being in the zone to me feels like you are very into it, and like you are connected to the field. Number two safety Safety is especially important to me. Safety might mean food, water, a roof, or even a bodyguard. For me safety means having a family that takes care of me and having two big black dogs that can protect me from anyone. I will give an example of how my dogs protect me when I am scared or feeling nervous. One time when I was home alone and sitting on the couch with my dogs at night a random car drove into our driveway and the guy got out of their car and rang the doorbell repeatedly. I was feeling very scared and thought I was going to die. But then I remembered that my dogs are big and can bark very loud. So that’s what they did, they were barking their faces off until the guy went away. After that happened my dogs came to sit by me and make sure I was ok. Secondly my family makes me feel safe because they protect me from strangers. I love my family I will talk more about it in my other paragraph. Lastly family Family is particularly important to me. Family might not be that important to you, but it is to me. You might be wondering why it’s so important. Well, my family is very loving and caring for me and others. My family has 5 people in it including me. My family consists of my mom, my dad, my two brothers and me. My mom’s name is Darcie, my dad’s name is Shawn. My two brothers are max, sawyer. Then there is me lucy. I am 11 years old; I am in grade 6 right now. My mom is 47 and my dad is 48. They are pretty old! My brothers are 17 and 15. Max is graduating from high school this year, so he is 2 years older than sawyer. Sawyer is 15 and is in grade 10. They are annoying sometimes. That's one of the reasons there are the best brothers in the world. My family makes me feel safe and very loved. What does family mean to you? For me family means my friends and my family. Family does not mean that you must be blood related. Family can mean anything to different people. Family can mean people, pets, or even your best friends. I love my family. If you have friends or family that you love, you should go up to them and tell them that they are the best. Finally, my conclusion In conclusion I talked about safety, family and sports. Those some of the things that home means to me. It might not mean the same to you, but there very important to me. Thank you for taking your time to read my paragraph.
