Home

Home is like a mother. Home is a magical thing. Home is safety. Home is knowing that you are not alone. Home is having someone to always protect you, to shelter you with a loving embrace. Home is warmth and knowing that you are loved and safe. Home gently lowers you into a cradle of safety. Dry your tears on Home’s soft skin. Rest your weary head her hands, warm and soft. Her bones weathered. Her face is etched with natural beauty and grace. Her back shelters you and keeps you dry, wind, rain, snow. Home has kept you safe. A mermaid on her rock, safe from a harsh black sea below. A bird, feathers light as air travels to every corner of the globe. But he too is drawn into Home’s soft embrace. You see yourself in Home’s reflection. You change her to look like you. You feel a warm, glowing, buzz every time Home shows her beauty. You are being coaxed, by evil lies, into the dark. Home gives you a chance at light, scaring the darkness away. Home never leads you on a path of wrong answers and bad decisions. For her beauty and strength are not matched by any man nor women alive. To me, Home means safe, and everyone needs a Home to protect them too.
