H-O-M-E

Have you ever felt at home? I have. My home is more than just four walls and one roof. It is where my friends and family are. Home is tastes and smells. Some of the tastes of home are Mom's homemade banana bread straight out of the oven, Dad’s juicy steak straight from the grill and the warm Borscht from the pot. It is also the taste of the sweet ice cream on a hot summer day. Some of the sounds of home are the door slamming closed, the sound of the keys and phone hitting the bench, Josie and Lilly laughing and my cousins talking. Home is the smell of mom's warm cookies and the mixture of sunscreen, sand, and seawater. It is the feeling of me running into the water from the hot sand. That is just a little part of what home means to me. What does home mean to you?
