How Much Love You Have

Once upon a time, there was a girl named Clara with a big family and a small house. This is the story of when she realizes that it’s not how much you own it’s how much love you share and get in return. “Clara, get up, you're going to be late for school!” “I’m coming Mom!” I walked down the stairs and went straight to the kitchen. “ Grab something to eat, it's really late.” Trying to get something to eat in our super crowded tiny kitchen is really hard to do. When we arrived at school with my 4 siblings. My two older sisters didn’t bother to say goodbye because apparently being in 7th and 8th grade means you're too cool to say goodbye. My younger brother and sister walked up and gave my Mom a huge hug instead. My younger sister is in grade 1 and my younger brother is in grade 2. I walked straight to my portable after saying “ Goodbye.” and I saw my best friend Sadey! “Hi!” I called from the door and she waved back. I put my bag up on the hook and sat right down in my seat, Sadey sits right next to me. The day before we asked if we could have a sleepover on Friday and parents said, “Yes!” We were so excited because it was FRIDAY!!! All we talked about was the sleepover and we don’t plan to sleep whatsoever! I said “ I’m so excited for the sleepover!” Sadey said “ I know right! It’s so exciting and I convinced my Mom to make us double chocolate waffles for breakfast!” I can’t wait for the end of the day. After it felt like ages the bell finally rang! “Ok, see you in an hour.” I yelled to Sadey as she walked to her car. I was so excited I sprinted to my Mom barely being able to contain myself. “Where are Kate and Ali( my two older sisters?)” I ask. “Oh, they're running a little late.” Mom said. What, but we have to get home so I can pack my overnight bag. “I know Clara but you have to be patient, look how well Blake and Elizabeth are being patient.” “Well there little kids and I have something exciting going on, I don't want to not have time to pack everything up I need.” Here they come, all your complaining distracted you from waiting. “Ok, people let's move, let's move!” “You know you could actually try saying it nicely.”said Kate. “Very kind of you Kate but I have a place to be.” After we got home I ran straight up to my room, grabbed my bag and started packing as quickly as I could! After I thought I had everything I went through my memory checklist toothbrush check, hair brush check, pajamas check, and clothes for tomorrow check. Okay I'm good let's move. “Mom, can we get going now.” “Yep I've just started the car we can get going!” After we got to Sadey's house I was so excited I yelled “Sadey, Sadey, I'm here, I'm here!” She ran to the door looking so excited she said “ come on let's go to my room first, I'll also find a place to put your bag and for you to unpack.” “Thanks!” I said. We ran straight up to her room with my bag. When we got up to her room I forgot how big it was. It was humongous, way bigger than my room. I said “ wow I forgot how big your room is.” “ Okay, here's where you're going to sleep. I've got this amazing bed all set up for you!” “Wow, that's amazing, thank you so much.” “I'm so glad you're here . It’s usually very quiet because my Mom and dad are usually working so I have the place to myself but now I get some company.” “This is a dream for me, usually my house is so loud you can't get a moment of slice.” “I want siblings really badly. Is it fun?” “I wish I had no siblings and they are not fun.” We talked for a little bit, went downstairs, saw her cat and then her mom called for dinner. It smelt so good, it was one of my favorite foods tacos! I was so hungry and I was really excited to eat tacos! I had four tacos with meat, cheese, rice, corn, lettuce, guacamole and salsa. After we ate dinner, we got all set up to watch Enola Home 2! I was super excited because I loved the first one. I put on my comfortable pajamas and got settled into the couch with a super fluffy blanket. Then Sadey's mom came down with a delicious bowl of buttery popcorn! The movie was amazing. There was a little bit of goriness in it but not too much. After the movie Sadie's mom told us to head upstairs and go to Sadey’s room. Sadie brought up her iPad and we listened to music and watched funny videos. It was awesome. We pulled an all-nighter, we stayed up until 2:00am but then we fell asleep. In the morning Sadey and I ate breakfast and as she said at school we are eating double chocolate waffles! They were delicious and I got so many helpings because I didn't have to worry about my siblings eating them all. Then Sadey's mom asked us if we wanted to go in the swim-spa? I said “Yes please!” We went upstairs to get dressed. I changed in the bathroom obviously and we ran downstairs with our towels. Went straight for the door and into the swim-spa. It was so amazing, nice, warm and perfect! I said to Sadey “You're so lucky you have this amazing giant house all to yourself with no siblings and you get your own room.” “ Yeah, having a big house is nice but it's kind of lonely sometimes. I really just want to have someone to hang out with sometimes, you know. I would love to live with a bunch of siblings and I’m a little jealous of you sometimes.” “You're jealous of me, I really think it's the other way around!” “I mean it.” After a while of splashing around and swimming Sadey's mom called us inside. Sadey's mom said “Girls go upstairs and get all dried off and do you guys want to watch a show or a movie until Clara's mom comes to pick her up?” “Okay, sounds great!” We said. After we got all dried off we watched a movie and then my mom came to pick me up. I was so sad the fun had to end and that I would have to go back to my cramped little house but now hearing what Sadey said I guess it's really not how much you have or own it's how much love you share and get in return.
