The Meaning Of Home

It is important to have a home to come home to at night when you are tired and don’t want to do anything. It is also necessary to have a roof over your head on the cold days of winter and a door that you can close to keep the bugs out and the love in. In our home I am lucky to eat good meals with the ones I love. My home is a safe place that I came home to after school, a place where I make my best memories. A warm house where we share jokes and grow stronger as a family. There is the soft sound of country music coming from the TV and the sound of my Mom making supper while whistling to the tune. Here is where I enjoy delicious healthy meals that my mom made for the family after coming home from her long day at work. I see my family getting ready for our evening activities. I smell my clean clothes that I keep safely tucked in my room and get to wear. After a long day, home is where I feel the embrace of my Dad’s strong arms around my body in a tight squeeze and him saying “Good night” to me before leaving my room. My home is a loving, supportive and most of all a safe place to be. I love my home, on the coldest days of winter my house is warm and on the hottest days of summer my house is the perfect temperature. My home is the keeper of my love, family and most cherished moments. I’d be completely lost without my home.
