What Home Should Mean

Home to me is a place where I belong.  It’s a place to love.  A place to enjoy yourself, learn, come together! Home is a place where you can be you. A home can be there for you, it can keep you warm, healthy, comfortable. Home to me, is a place to calm down, relax, and rest.   Home is a place where you feel you belong, not where you are from.  When I come home from a long day at school, I always feel happy and enjoyment, but most importantly, I know I belong.  I know I belong because I have family, games, and other things to make me feel happy and safe.  People tend to be in a bad mood, but a place they belong or feel they belong in can brighten their day! Relaxing at home for most is an easy feat, but to some it's hard.  For me, relaxing takes me some alone time, some TV or movies.  Relaxing can be hard for some though, as they do not have a place to rest. A good home can be the center to relaxation, but some without a good home can’t relax.  They are always shuffling around, struggling.  Habitat for Humanity can help.     Habitat for Humanity can help people, people who cannot relax, who cannot be calm, who don’t feel they belong.  Help a local habitat, as it can help more than just one person.  I feel very grateful for the home I live in and the people I surround. I understand this is not the reality for all. Those are the ones I want to help, everyone deserves to have a safe place to call home and a place where they feel like they belong.
