What Home Means to Me!

Home is not only a place where you live, it’s a place where you feel comfortable, happy, and loved. Home is not only a building but a place in your heart. A home would not be a home without the love and care of your family. Home is a place where you can feel secure and safe. A home cannot only be described by words, because it’s a feeling. A house contains many great memories, but all the awesome memories are in the home in your heart. A home does not need to be one place, it could be anywhere you feel loved and happy. Home is where I can play with my sister, learn new things with my dad and read books with my mom. Home could also be my neighborhood, where we play at the playground, play soccer on the field, and where we have snowball fights. When I think of home, I think about love, care, and happiness. Home reminds me of the nights we cuddled up on the couch, watched movies, and played games. My home reminds me of the smells of my parents cooking and the laughter of me and my sister when we play games. My home reminds me of my soft and warm bed as I snuggle in and read books. My home is very important to me, but most people have a house or a shelter, but not many people have a home. I thank Habitat for Humanity for letting people in need have a house, and I hope it will soon become their home.
