What Home Means To Me

This is what my home means to me, like sugar in boiling hot tea. When I am at home, I am never alone, even when the thunder rumbles. I am at home when I'm with my mother. When I bundle up under a soft blanket with her, I feel safe and cozy. When I'm with my mother I am at home. I am at home when I am with my father. Running side by side with him makes me feel happy and calm. When I am with my father I'm at home. When I am with my sister, I am at home. Just talking with her makes me feel relaxed and chill. When I'm with my sister I am at home. When I am with my cats, I am at home. Petting their soft fur makes me feel joyful and loved. When I'm with my cats I am at home. When I am with my friends, I am at home. When I am with my friends, I never feel alone or sad. When I'm with my friends I am at home. So you see what home means to me, for me home can be anywhere you are with people that love you and it hurts my heart to know that some people don’t have that special feeling yet. So, thank you Habitat For Humanity for at least getting those people off of the streets. I hope you now know what home means to me and why it's like sugar in boiling hot tea because that sugar is the people I love.
