What Home Means to Me

Home, the place where all the bonds happen. In the morning, the cozy hugs I get from my dad make it feel like a cold winter night with my dad protecting me.The feeling of my dad standing up for me when I get bullied or made fun of. The feeling of when I am wrong and my dad guides me. I am protected. When I come down to eat I can smell the delicious new types of food that my mom makes. She never disappoints me with the love she puts into my food. She is always thinking about what to make next for me. I am loved. When I lose hope, my family is always there to help me with ideas, staying up all night thinking of ways to guide me, and always supporting me to the end. I am positive. I have to admit my home isn't perfect. My sister is not the best. She is alway screaming a lot but her playing the piano makes me feel calm and happy. We do have a lot of good times too when we all cuddle up for a family movie laughing at a comedy show and when arguments happen, we always laugh and smile at the end. My home is not the best but I am certain that I have a home and that is all I need. I am home. Thank you Habitat for humanity for making homes for people.
