The Meaning of Home

‘’Home is where you make it’’. To me, home means many different things. It can be a place that makes you feel happy & mentally healthy, it can be with the people that love you most, or sometimes you have to build your own. To begin, home is not just a place, it’s a feeling. A powerful feeling. That feeling is wherever you feel peaceful, content, comfortable, and welcome. You do not feel sad or depressed because that is where you truly belong, at home. When you’re forced to move somewhere else, you may not always be happy because moving in a new neighborhood is hard, and it kind of feels weird. However, even if you are not content, you must try your hardest to be joyful so your life is as sad as you think. Life is short and do anything you can to make it a really great one. Next, I would like to talk about living in a home with family, friends, or even both. When you decide to share your home, you feel content and really joyful that you are not alone and you have someone to be with. It is great to be with someone, especially if you have been alone for long periods of time. You might not always have a choice on who or what to live with, but you must be kindhearted and generous to them so they can really open up to you. Remember to be nice to someone before they can start being nice to you. After all, doing a good thing for you and someone else is always the best choice, even if you don’t really like them. Finally, you can even construct your very own handmade customized home. Lots of people buy their own home, and that is great! But it isn’t what you always like. You can still purchase a home, but building one can be better than buying sometimes. For example, if you build a home, you will not have to worry about the design or layout of any other home. You build. You put in hard work. You customize. It's easy to do what you want and deserve: A proper home. The more work you can put in, the better it will be. You could make something extraordinary if you try. To conclude, home means lots of things, places that make you happy, you can live with others or even build your own! I wonder if technology will get better and we will start civilizations on another planet.
