What Home Feels Like to Me

Home means having a roof over my head to shelter me from the bad weather. It feels warm; like being under a blanket as soft as a feather. Home means watching the football game with my Dad, or even still when he embarrasses me like the time he said “That’s rad!” Home means having a nice Cinnamon candle that my mom lights to smell, or when my Sister has funny, but fake stories to tell. Home means listening to music while I'm gaming, or when my Mom looks at my drawing and says “That’s Amazing!” Home means having a nice Peanut Butter and Jam sandwich to eat, or when me and my family are playing a board game, and I can’t handle defeat! Home means having a nice bed to sleep in and fall into the nice, clean, sheets, or having leftover pizza for dinner that my Mom heats. This is what home means to me, and some of these reasons you might agree with me too, This poem took me about one hour to write, but I finished it two days before it was due!
