Home is More Than a "Just"

I thought that home was just a place to stay Just where we live tomorrow and today But I was all wrong when I used that word “Just” It’s more than a building, It’s somewhere to trust It’s where we can live, laugh, and love And maybe a place to give a little shove It’s where we can be overjoyed And sometimes where we can be super annoyed It’s where we can treat others with peace And where our love can truly increase It’s where we can learn how to be patient And not just in one, but in every situation It’s where we can show each other kindness And where we can leave the past behind us It’s where we learn to be humble about goodness And where our hearts can feel the fullest Home is way, way more than a “Just” It's somewhere to love and somewhere to trust God gave me a safe place to stay And I’ll call it my home any day
