The Meaning of Home

Home is a place for shelter, and it is also a place for love, peace, joy and care. Home is a place for food like watermelon, macaroni and cheese too. Home is also a place for hugs and kisses, snuggles too. Home is a place for rest. I rest in my room and watch a show with cookies and hot cocoa. When I get home from school I play with my dogs for a little while. Then I snuggle with my dogs and watch a show and wait for my mom to say it’s dinner. When I go to the dinner table with my mom, we eat chicken and mashed potatoes. When we are done, I go put my cozy pajamas on while my mom washes the dishes. Then we watch a show with hot cocoa and cookies. When I wake up to get ready for school, I take a second to remember that I am lucky to have a roof over my head and a place to sleep and food to eat and a loving mother that cares for me and gives me hugs and kisses when I am sad. When I sit by the fire roasting marshmallows with my mom, I feel all warm and sweet. In the morning I wake up to my dogs licking my face. I feel happy and silly because when they lick me it feels so funny. When I'm home I feel happy, silly and warm. When I’m home, I feel loved, cared for, and I also feel safe and comfortable. When I go to sleep in my cozy pajamas I feel all warm inside. Then at night sometimes I will take a nice warm bath and after I’m done I feel all clean and warm. When I’m home I like to read sometimes and when I read my dogs jump up on me. When I go outside to play, I go on my swing and into my treehouse. Home is a place not far away. Home is a place where you can stay forever and ever.
