A Safe Place

A home feels safe and warm like a warm fire in front of you, a home is safe. Home doesn’t have to be a house, it can be a place where you feel safe like maybe where you live isn’t safe for you, maybe school is where you feel at home. Home for me is when I sit close to a warm place and talk to a loved one. I feel safe and warm. Sometimes I look at a fire, I think about it surrounding me. I feel safe and warm, just like home. I hear my mom telling me to get up and my sister tapping and saying “wake up”. I see my dad cooking my favourite food nice and warm, my sister running and laughing behind my back . I feel happy, I feel warm, most importantly I feel safe. A home is different yours and mine.-RUHEENBIR BANDESHA
