Home

Home means an enjoyable, happy place where you can live, laugh & learn. It's somewhere you are loved, respected, and cared for when you look at it from outside. Home is just a house, a building, maybe a yard but on the inside, it's a lot more than wood and bricks. The saying “Home is Where The Heart Is” says it all. Home is also where your memories lie. Home is where I get to be myself without any judgment. Home is where I pet my dog, sleep in my playhouse, fall down the stairs and climb up a tree. All these memories are accumulated throughout the years at home and without these memories, most people would not be what they are today. There are, however, people without homes, living on streets and shelters. Sometimes I feel it's not fair that some people are living in glorious mansions and some are living in cardboard cutouts. Out of the 2.2 Billion children in the world, half of them live without homes with no access to basic necessities like food, shelter or clothing. When asked the question “What does Home mean to you?”, I wonder what they would answer. For them does home signify luxury or it's just a place that can make them feel accepted and taken care of. For me, it's my significant place where I spend most of my time, which provides shelter to me and my family and makes me safe and loved. With my loved one’s around me I feel comforted and it feels like a peaceful place without any stress or tensions. Home might look different for every kid in this world, but I can say one thing for sure that be it a mansion or a small room - There is definitely no place like HOME.
