What My Home Means to Me

My home. To me, my home is my safe place, my island of comfort, a place where I can be me, the calm in the storm. To me, my home is where I smell BBQ sauce and charcoal from my dad when he is barbequing, or where I see my mom taking quality time to herself and my brother playing games on his tablet. If the world were a dangerous sky of fighter planes, my home would be my safe ground control tower. Once a house is destroyed, it cannot be rebuilt but if a house collapses, it can be reconstructed with love and family. If the world was a cold desolate winter forest, my home would be my warm cozy cabin. A home could be a place, an emotion, or even a feeling. At home, if there is something I dislike, I can sit down, eat instant ramen, and watch Marvel movies. That is what my home means to me.
