Home is a feeling

Home is a feeling. Not a house or apartment. My home is with my family. Even we fight sometimes, but I love them. In my home I feel safe and loved. I usually hear my dog barking outside the window at cars, people, or ghosts. I really love him too. My mom's cooking is amazing! Her food is the best! And my dad's barbeque is delicious! They always make the most awesome meals. There is almost always laughter at the dinner table. My sister and I don’t always get along, but I still love her. Sometimes she gives me a makeover. Not that I need one, it's just for fun! Whenever we go somewhere for dinner, I usually smell the smell of perfume. When I'm home I feel safe. I can't imagine not having a home. There was an earthquake in Turkey not too long ago. And because of the earthquake, some kids don’t have a home. Or like in Ukraine. Because of the war, the children there had to leave their home. The children there had to leave behind their parents, their churches, and a lot more that made their home, home. I feel that every kid should feel safe in their home. I hope that habitat for humanity can help thousands of kids all over the world. Home is more than a house. Home is a feeling.
