Meaning of Home

My home protects me and my family. People might think my home is just a house but to me it is part of my family. It protects me from rain, snow and storms. It is small but I don’t care, my backyard is huge which I love. It is a farmhouse that is old with cracked bricks but the inside is huge and brand new. I love my home with all my heart. My grandfather’s blood, sweat and tears went into making it a brand-new house once again. I smell my mom’s cooking in the kitchen. I hear music, screams and my dad’s recordings in my house. I feel like this is the home that I was made for. I see squirrels run around, birds fly in the sky and rabbits hop outside in my backyard. There are also turkeys that visit my garden in spring, summer and fall. Summer time at home is fun with swings on the trees, water slides in the big backyard, mowing the lawn, feeding birds, watering the garden, picking apples & pears, and riding my bike and scooter. The wintertime is also crazy fun with snow slides in the front yard, building snow people, making snow angels, shoveling snow, and drinking hot chocolate with mini marshmallows. I love my home the way it is and I would not like to change a thing.
