Shelter of Love

I’m grateful about my home, it may not be big, fancy and nice but I’m still thankful about my Shelter Of Love. Family, I’m happy to live in a safe environment with my loving family. The smell of barbecue my dad grills on a nice summer day. My dog, who’s always barking at people but always is so excited to see me after school. My mom, who comforts me during hard times and my brother who annoys me but always cares about me. Shelter, I’m thankful that I have a roof over my head during hail, rain and thunderstorms. I’m happy I have walls to protect me from bad people. I’m glad I have windows to see the light blue sky and the shining sun. I’m happy I have food to eat at a dinner table, I’m glad that I have refreshing water to cool me on a summer day. Joy, I’m thankful to be with a family that always makes me laugh. I’m grateful to sit down and relax while me and my brother watch TV together on the weekend. I’m glad to have a curious dog so he can make my family laugh whenever he accidentally bumps into a wall. A house is just a building, but a home is special. A house is made out of bricks and wood, but a home is made out of love and happiness. I’m happy there are people who care that created this contest to help children and families have a house, so that they can make a beautiful home and experience how special it will be!
