What home means to me

What home means to me. When I wake up in the morning covered in my soft, fluffy, warm comforting blankets overtop of me making me feel safe and happy and calm, there is nothing else in the world that matters. Home is somewhere I can come to after a hard day of school, where I can walk in and instantly be in a warm soft hug from my moms, the soft sound of their voices comforting me, telling me that everything is going to be okay. The house smells like fresh baked goods and yummy dinner. Home to me also means helping others by running programs with my old school to get people to donate clothes and other things to help those in need. Whenever I go to deliver the clothes with my mom, I feel so happy and joyful seeing the happy hopeful faces of these people staring in wonder at the boxes and bags of clothes and baby items. The joy heats up the room as we hand them out to everyone. The thank you’s filling up the room, sounding like sweet music, twisting together in a beautiful melody. To me, home is my house, my moms, my little brother and twin sister, and my wiggling happy puppies. Most of all, it means helping others who need it. What does home mean to you?
