A House and a Home

Houses and homes are often used to mean more or less the same thing. However, if you take the time to really think about those two meaningful words, you will find that they’re not the same in the slightest. These words are very important to everyone, and I’m glad I realized the difference between them. My house is a wonderful place that I am lucky to have. It is an amazing space where I can go and take a break from the rest of the world. My house is a structure that can support me when I need it. It is the place where I can go to rest and breathe. All houses are different. They come in all sorts of different shapes and sizes. My house is special to me. It is the place where I grew up most of my life. It is the place where I can connect with my family. It is the place where I live, where I grow and where I can be myself. My house means so much to me and I am grateful. A home however, has a totally different meaning. It is the more spiritual and emotional side of a house. I feel more grounded to my home than I am to my house. I have made many memories around my home and, also, made many memories attached to my home. My home is a beautiful place where I can feel loved. It is the place where I can feel cared for. It is the place where I can feel myself. A home is something anybody can have as long as they allow themselves to have one. This is because a home is someplace you feel connected to. It can be anywhere as long as you have a bit of a relationship with it and allow it to grow. Your home is a place where you feel warm. That is a place that you can call home. Though houses and homes are both very different, they are also very special together as well as important to everyone. They are something everyone deserves. I’m grateful that I got this opportunity to find the real meaning of a house and a home. I have never really thought much about the difference and I hope that more people start to learn it as well.
