Home Sweet Home

Home for me is a lot of different things. Having security and knowing I am in a house I know is safe. Also I know where everything is in my house and am familiar with my surroundings and my room. Home then also means for me having a loving family and animals that love me and I love them. And also having my animals greeting me at the door when I come home. I would be homeless and be living on the streets trying to find food and water. Home is also that if I didn’t have a home when there is storms I would be on the street with no shelter. But I am so thankful to be able to live in a house and have a roof over my head. I also have space for friends and family to come over and hangout for the day. I have a place to live and hangout whenever I want to play. In the summers it gets very hot so I come to my house in the air conditioning to cool off. In the winter It is so cold so the heater in my house helps keep me warm. I am so glad for walls and my own room for privacy. Also home means for me being with my family being able to have company and the fun family games we play in our house when it is cold or rainy. My mom works from home so having her around all the time is awesome! I have an awesome sister that does anything for me. My sister is named Madi. Madi is thirteen years old. My parents would do anything for me and my sister Madi. My grandma and grandpa live ten minutes away from my house so they come over sometimes and play cards. In my very cozy home I have a house full of animals because I love animals and so does my family. I have one bunny, one senior dog, one puppy, one Leopard gecko, and one kitten. The animals in my house make me feel happy. Everytime I see my animals I just have to snuggle them and hug them and if it is my cat she will start Purring. My animals comfort me when I’m sad. When I come home my animals are at the door waiting for me. I also foster animals. I have had a kitten that got out of a double knee surgery 1 month ago . She is named Corey. My family has had so many animals with sad stories come into my house that an animal shelter has given my family to take care of, until they find a forever home. In my house I have a big room that the animals go in when they first come to my house. Once they have been checked by the vet and the veterinarian says that they are not sick then they can come out of the room and run around the house. When I foster animals it makes me feel helpful and grateful for a house so I could help these animals. For fostering we have fostered for the Edmonton Humane Society and Zoe's animal rescue. Right now we are fostering with Zoe’s animal rescue. When the animals leave my house to go to a forever home it is sad but very happy that they are going to a forever home. Right now I have a cat that got returned from their home and is scared about everything because at that home that he got returned from the other cat and animals at that house would beat up him. So I am working on getting him Comfortable with people and other animals. I also am fostering a puppy. The puppy is eight weeks old and is as small as my foot. It is so cute. That is the meaning of home for me.
