Meaning of Home

My Definition Of Home Is...a place to enjoy time with your family, friends, and pets. You can build memories with the people you love in a home. Having a bad day and coming home to your family members cheering me up makes my stomach fall out of my nose. I understand how lucky I am to get home and at least one person is home to see me. Now that's lucky. Family isn't just picking you after you fall, its peace and love, giving, forgiving. A home shouldn't be just a building, it should be a place where you can share your feelings and emotions. It doesn’t matter, if you live in a mansion, small house, big house, condo, trailer, hotel, or apartment I'd still have family around me. The world is my family. Even if you’re related or not they can still mean the world to you. When you’re at home you should feel safe around the people that you live with. If you have two different houses they might feel different in many ways. The different ways aren't about the difference in how many windows there are, it is about the people inside of your house. Mom or Dad, grandparents, and pets. Everything counts inside of a house. When you're at home you should feel accepted and loved just the way you should be. When you're at home you should treat people with kindness and be treated with kindness too. You shouldn't feel judged or worried. When I go traveling with my family I feel amazing, seeing the beautiful mountains with the sunset while we drive by gives us big smiles on our faces. Breathing in that cool mountain air is so refreshing. All the memories that get squished between those four walls are busting open the closet door and filling up your house. You should be able to talk freely in a house without getting yelled at. Living in Canada means. . . . the taste of warm and sticky maple syrup on a stick when it’s cold outside warms my heart. The smell and taste of original, cheesy, and smooth poutine makes me want to scream with joy and happiness. When you're at home you can tell a terrible joke or story without getting made fun of. Homes don’t have to be big and fancy to feel like a home. Having a home means I can have a roof over my head and feel safe. But a roof doesn’t just mean a house it can be lots of other things too. My roof is made out of shingles and most importantly love. My home is one of my favourite places to be. When I’m at home I can eat popcorn and watch the Edmonton Oilers play towards the Stanley Cup. I love my family. If my entry got a prize I would be very honored to help families in my community and donate to my local habitat to humanity. My Definition Of Home Is
