Home

There is a place Where people can have fun they can stay inside Or play in the sun And they are always safe That place is called home To me home is a place that you have a family to live with There is always a dad who has funny jokes that make you smile Or a mom who loves you a lot and is very smart And sometimes siblings who you can drive you mad once in a while But deep down you will have a place for them somewhere in your heart At home you can be yourself Without having to worry about what people think of you You don't have to try to be somebody else You can say things to your family that they understand but that others wouldn’t have a clue, Without these things houses would just be houses not homes Homes are places where you can have fun and play Mostly during the day, Or a place where you can sleep during the night Where you run to tell your parents when you have a nightmare or fright I am very lucky to have a home They can be make from wood or stone Homes protects us from rain and snow Some people even had them a long time ago But sadly, not everybody has a home Some people sleep in the cold and freeze That is because they can’t afford one I think that everyone should have a place to call home Where they don’t have to be alone I am so happy, that more people will have somewhere to sleep And a safe place, where they can eat Not everybody in the world will have a home but Because habitat for humanity tries very hard to help more people have homes
