Home to me

A house is an address, a shelter, rooms, a roof and walls. Yes, a home is all that and more. A home is a tranquil place. A place where it is OK to get frustrated, happy, angry and excited. Home is a place where you can just be you. Home to me is time with my loving family. A place to enjoy old memories or make new ones. A house is a home you just must love it first then it's a home. A home is important so you can stay safe. A home is important so you can be sheltered from the elements (rain, snow, hail, sleet, the cold, and the heat). A home is a place where you can feel emotions and be with your family. A home is a place where you can be yourself. Home is a place to enjoy home cooked meals and bake yummy treats. That’s what home means to me. Habitat for Humanity is so amazing for making affordable houses for everyone. It’s a hand up, not a hand down.
