Safe
I can imagine me without a home, but I cannot imagine me without a safe house. A house is safety, and a home is a safe place. Home is safe. And I thank Habitat for Humanity for safe affordable homes across Canada. My house is all people see, when they walk or drive by. But there is a home underneath the outer shell of my house. My home is love; it is kindness. Home is me.
I don’t know what it is like to be homeless, or dependent on others for shelter, unable to make special memories in a proper home. And that is why I am thankful to Habitat for Humanity for being there for all those people who are less fortunate than me. Home is me.
A place filled with laughter is a home. My home is filled with unlimited tea, and cuddles, and honey, and puzzles and people filled with joy. My house is all people see; all they see is the outer shell of home. Home is me.
A house keeps the elements out, but a home keeps the life in. Home keeps all the joy, love, laughter, hugs, kisses, excitement, calmness, and sadness in. But only if you want it to. Home is me.
My house is a building made with four walls and a roof; my home is made with love. Home is you and home is me. A house is made of; concrete, wood or bricks, but home is me.
Home Is Me.
