Meaning of Home

Home is a place of emotion and many feelings. Joy. Joy feels like being happy with friends and loved ones. Safe. I feel safe when I know my home is safe. Heard. I feel heard when I'm in my home with my grandma and grandpa. Joy Home is not just joyful it is also sad sometimes but it’s ok to be sad. Joy is like fresh baked cookies coming straight out of the oven. I feel joy when I’m riding my bike and the wind is going through my hair. Safe I feel safe when I can walk to the grocery store safely. I remember when there was a thunderstorm outside I was so happy that I had a roof above my head. Everybody will have a safe place to live if Habitat for Humanity keeps giving people houses so they can turn them into homes. Heard I feel heard when I get to choose what to eat for lunch. I feel heard when my family listens to me. I’m happy when I’m heard by my lovely family. I’m so thankful for Habitat for Humanity for building people a safe place to live and call home. Home is a place of love, memories, security, being heard and happiness. I hope someday everyone will have a house to call home.
