What Home Means To Me

What home means to me is a family full of love that loves me and cares for me. My family is my mom, my dad, my brother, my dog and more. What home means to me is a warm place to stay, to sleep and to play. I like to have a place to call home but some people don’t have a home (and some need homes) and they're all alone in the cold. Others don't have shelter. What do they do when there's a storm outside? They will cough and sneeze and there is no pride inside. When I’m at home I feel cozy. And the temperature is always perfect for me. When I am at home I am safe and so free. I have a family that loves me. There's no better place to be. At home I feel safe and sound especially when my family is around. When I hear the sound of my family I don't feel empty inside. When my family is not around I don’t feel as safe and sound. When I smell my mom baking I rush down the stairs. I ask her to help and she says yes. Me and my mom make a great team. When I’m at home I taste my Baba’s warm cookies while we watch a movie or play games, read books or just talk about our day. But if you don't have a home you wouldn't be able to do these things. I can’t imagine that. At about 6:00 o'clock the sunset is beautiful. If you look outside the window you won't be cold. But…if you didn’t have a home you would be cold and that's not enjoyable. If I had hundreds of thousands of dollars lots of it would go to homes for others. Home is a place to stay, a place to sleep and to be. I like my home. It is a place for me and that is where I love to be. By Brooke
