My Ukrainian home

I was born in Ukraine. I lived there... It was a nice day when I was going to school. It was 6:24 in the morning when a rocket exploded above us. We lived next to a military unit we started hiding in the bathroom my parents put a blanket on the floor, we had a tile floor my dad had friends, They were a doctor and a beautician and they had a tiled basement with a big mattress and lots of food (it was 2-3 days after being) we spent a month and a half there. Then we went to the Carpathians (that's where the mountains are in Ukraine) and we stayed there for 2 months and then we decided to go to Romania when we got out of the Ukrainian border there were like tents for people from Ukraine and they gave water, croissants, tea, food, drinks, etc. for free. We had a snack there. There were buses to transport people and they had blinkers. We asked if we could get a ride to the station (we were very late for our train, it was for 12:00 AM, then it was 11:30 we were 11 minutes late on the navigator and the next train to where we needed to go would be at 4:00 AM, and we were still with my sister who was 6 years old at the time, I was 11) we were in Romania without my dad, my mom was hard to watch me and my younger sister but I helped her, we were there at the Canadian embassy. Then our dad was able to get out of Ukraine on the 27-29th and we stayed in Romania until June 12 because we got visas. I really like my home in Ukraine, I miss my friends, all the furniture and places, it saddens me a lot that I did not appreciate what I had. Now my house is empty. I have problems with my English something can be not correct
