Home

Home means safety: when there’s a thunderstorm, I run to the window to watch, but in my head, I think about the people with no walls to keep the wind out, no roofs to keep out the rain and no windows to safely watch from. Home means memories: we moved out of our house two years ago and it was really hard leaving the old, rickety house behind because there were so many good and heart warming memories in it. But I have a lot of good and funny memories of our new house, and I learned that home isn’t just one place it can be anywhere. Home means family: when we go on a road trip, or to Lake Nutamik for camping and fishing, I love it because of the views and our family that lives out there. But I really look forward to snuggling up in my cozy bed under my blankets when it’s time to come home. Home is not a place or a building. Home is a feeling and where we share memories. I am very thankful that I can have a home with a loving family. I love my home.
