What home means to me

What home means to me, home is a place to feel safe, a place where you can sleep peacefully. Home is a place to be yourself. Home is a place where you can be comforted by family and friends. Home is a place where you can have fun and nobody can tell you that you can’t, home is a place where you can enjoy things. Home doesn’t have to be a building or house, home is anywhere you feel happy, calm, and respected. Home is where you enjoy family traditions with loved ones. Home is a place that keeps most of your memories. Home is a place where you cherish meals with those you are close with. For me, my home is a place that smells like fresh baked bread, or wet dogs. My home sounds like my brothers running around shouting, or the fire in the wood stove crackling. My home feels like my parent’s warm hugs, or my dog’s soft fur on my hands. My home tastes like homemade bread and pastas, or smoothies on summer evenings. My home looks like a place where my family enjoys memorable moments together.
