A Place To Be

Every time I go to sleep, I always get scared, but I always knew that I was safe and that there would be no monster under my bed. I am loved, and my home would be the best place to ever be. Here is my proof. I could sometimes tell what my house was doing. When I felt at home, I would feel my cosy blanket wrapping me like a burrito. When I hear sounds in my home, I hear my family laugh at my dad's joke at dinner. When I was home, I would drink hot chocolate on a nice snowy day. Touch, hearing, and taste are the three senses. Home would be spelled H.O.M.E., but this word stands for something. The letter H stands for happy; I will always be happy and grateful for where I am because home is beautiful. The letter O would stand for the ocean because an ocean is calm and peaceful, just as is our home. The letter M.E. stands for Me and Meal because I am allowed to be me and my meal will always be amazing (except for my mom's cabbage soup). That is happy, ocean, and meallike. If I were to look up at the sky and wonder, "What is the difference between a house and a home?" My house is made of concrete, has doors, windows, a roof, and a wall that guards me. My home is made of memory, love, and family. I am happy about where I am because I love my home as much as my life. If you don´t have a home yet, just try to find a corner that you like and that also fits you. My house and my home guard my family and me. I hope that the Humanity Means Home Project gives a home to someone just like me. The place to be will always be me, and it will never be forgotten.
