Meaning of Home

Some people think a home is just a building with walls and a roof to shelter us with. But that’s not a home. That’s what a house is. The difference between a home and house is simple. Houses are the same. They have the same walls and floors. But homes are unique. Homes mean different things for different people and this is what home means to me. A place to keep me safe from stress and people. I’m not judged in my home, I'm safe there. No one can tell me that I’ve got to do something. I can relax and enjoy my home. My home doesn't just protect me from weather but also from my stress. Everyone deserves a home to feel safe in. Our homes express us. My home expresses my love for art and traveling. I’ve got posters, souvenirs, paintings and art supplies. My room doesn’t have to be clean or organized. My room should be how I want it to be. Because our homes tell who we are. Everyone deserves a home to express themselves. My home is my picture book, where I store all my memories. My home is built from memories and love. Each moment is filled with love and laughter. My home isn’t made of walls and floors, My home is made from love, memories, laughter and comfort. Everyone deserves a home to have memories. Houses are built the same but our homes are unique to explain who we are, our memories and the safety we feel in our homes. A home is a comfortable place to be you. So everyone deserves a house as much as I do.
