What Home Means to Me

A home is a place where you can hear dogs barking and guinea pigs squeaking from their cages. Home is a comfortable space where you are surrounded with happiness and joy. Home is where you play all day long and never get bored of it. For me living in this home is amazing! I have everything that I could ever want. My home can get messy sometimes, sure. But it’s just how I like it. Homes of all sizes are equally important because they provide 3 main things: shelter, food and water! Home’s are amazing to me and I'm sure they are just as equally important and amazing to you. Some of you may not be as impressed with a house. You might think “It's a house, made of brick and stone, nothing that important”. Try telling that to someone who lives on the streets. Who knows what it's like without a home. I love being warm and cozy snug with a blanket when it's freezing cold outside. But I wouldn't be able to do that without a home. I would be out on the streets trying to find a place with warmth. On warm days I love the air conditioning. But once again without a house I would be overheating on the streets. A home feels like a safe place to me and I'm sure it is to you too! A home is a place where you can grow up. My home makes me feel safe and sound. I do not have to be scared of anything at night or even in the day. I am very grateful to have a safe place to live, with shelter, food and water.
