Home

Home is more than a house. Home is seeing my family which makes me happy and feel secure. Home is my friends making me laugh till I burst. Home is swimming at my baba's pool in the summer with my cousins. Home is playing with my dogs in the backyard. Home is visiting my grandparents. Home is more of a feeling than a place. To me, home is walking into my house to smell the fresh cooked food. Home is sitting around my kitchen table talking about our days. Home is going on bike rides with my friends in the summer or spring. Home makes me feel loved and appreciated. I’m lucky that I have the home that I have. For some people home isn’t a happy place, it makes them scared and worried. Home is not the same for everyone. That’s why we need to make everyone feel safe, secure and loved. Home is more than just a place, home is a safe space.
