If I were to describe my home in one word, It would be safe, Because it protects me, From the rain, snow, and wind. If I were to describe my home in one word, It would be belonging, Because it always welcomes me, With absolutely no judgment. If I were to describe my home in one word, It would be joyful, Because I can be whoever I want, And laugh with my family. If I were to describe my home in one word, It would be culture, We practice our Chinese heritage, And celebrate the Canadian holidays. If I were to describe my home in one word, It would be accepting, Because we always forgive others, And support them no matter what. If I were to describe my home in one word, It would be love, Because we are living with our favorite people, And that’s what really matters.
