Home is a Promise

Home can mean where you live or where you sleep. For some people it can mean just a word that you use. But to me, home means family, friends, community, and a safe spot. Home means making memories and having a good time. It means lots of love, kindness, strength, and respect. You may think that some families don't have all of those descriptions and are really weird or mean. You might think that others are perfect, but the truth is no family is perfect. No home is perfect. Homes can have really bad things happen to them like a loved one dying or they can just be going through a hard time. In other cases really good things can happen like going on a vacation or winning the lottery. A lot of people like to judge because they think that their opinion matters to you, but what matters is what you think about your home. If you think your family, your community, and your home are all perfect that is all that matters. Your community are people you can trust, people that care for you. Your family and friends, your community, they are all literally the best thing that you can have! And a lot of people do not have a family and a community and friends to come home to, so when you're sad or frustrated, mad or confused and your home comforts you and makes you feel better, they’ ve got your back. That is a PROMISE.
