The Meaning of Home and House

A House is a place. A house is a permanent structure. A house is architecture. A house has an address. A house can be empty or full. A house is where people can live. A house is still a house if no one lives there. A Home has a structure too. It can be made out of wood, brick and drywall but the most important building material is LOVE! Home is not permanent. Home can be our camper in the summer. Home can be our cabin. Home can be my grandparent’s house in Germany. Home is where I am with my family. At home I feel happy and safe. Home is where I belong.
