What is Home?

What is a home? A home is not only a place where you eat, sleep and brush your teeth, but a home is a place where you feel safe, surrounded by the people you love, in a location where you have all these great memories, the best laughs, the hardest cries, your own movie theater, where you watched the best movies, your own stage, where the kids preformed the best dances and acts. The counters where you and your family did all the baking, the oven where your mother burned the chicken nuggets. The daughter’s room that is always messy, the one couch that the cat (that the dad insisted on getting) ripped. A home is a place of forgiveness, and a safe place to confront anything. A home is a place where you learn from your mistakes, learn new skills, and learn new things in general. A home is your personality, your mindset, your happy place (most of the time). A home is the place where you had the biggest smiles, the place where you got the scariest news. A home isn’t inside of a 2 story house, but inside of a part of the body where it sends oxygen and nutrients to all parts of your body, and carries away unwanted carbon dioxide and waste products.
