My Meaning of Home

The meaning of home to me is a sanctuary where you can just be who you are comfortably with no judgement. Regardless of age, race, gender, cultural, and spiritual beliefs. Anyone can slam up a house and just live there, but a home is where all the magical memories happen. It doesn't necessarily have to be a structure, it can be where you are with anyone who is truly special to you. Home is a haven where you can be who you are, with no judgement whatsoever. You are free to pursue everything your heart desires. Whether it's sharing time with loved ones, or resetting your mind and soul with nice calm thoughts, when you're home, you can truly relax. Home is the life and soul of your happiness. It is the relaxation that shivers through your heart to your fingertips. The tingling you can grasp, and slowly let go. Home is the taste of delinquency combined with bitterness and reality, with a cherry on top. Home tastes like sheer disappointment, yet pride spreads all around. Home smells like the ones you deeply, truly miss, and the special signature scent that screams...HOME. Home looks like the portraits of you and the things that matter to you. An imperfect yet functioning masterpiece. Home is where you can hear helpful advice, harsh truth, and joyous news. Home is when I'm with someone like you. Home isn't about perfection, but it is about what makes me truly grateful for my special someone. It may mean something different to you, but this is my meaning of home.
