Meaning of Home

What A Home Means To Me Few times already I moved with my family across this place we all call “home”: planet Earth. So far we have lived in four different countries, spread out on three Continents. Somehow, although I wasn’t at the same place, I always felt at home, as long as my family was around me. For me a home is not just a structure, it’s a place where we are. Home is a place where me and my family laugh and play, where there’s always a hug and a kind word for me. That’s a place where we make those special moments, that turn into memories we carry with us in our hearts, while making new ones. Home is a place where I feel safe and loved and where I unconditionally belong, regardless of where it is on the map. It’s amazing how the smell of fresh baked cookies, the taste of mom’s pie, the sound of chess figures moving across the board or a familiar song, can make you feel at home. Home is a place where people, even though they might be complete strangers, are kind and inclusive. It’s a place where neighbors wave across the street and share home grown veggies with each other. A home can come in many different shapes and sizes; it can be old or modern. One thing above all, a home is something special because it’s filled with people who are special to me and I’m special to them.
