Hi, my name is Khadija. I am in grade 4 and my writing is about home. Every day when I come home, I feel happy because my sister always gives me hugs when I come home from school. When I am at home, I feel free because I get to spend time with my family and play and do things with my sister and brothers. When I come downstairs, I feel cozy because the weather in my house is nice and its always clean. My mom always has dinner ready and with my cozy carpet and pillows and blankets. My house is full of good and fun memories because we take photos or videos of our memories so we could remember them or sometimes we just keep it in our hearts. When my sister gives me hugs, I feel loved because my sister smiles and hugs at the same time. I feel like a good big sister. When I am at home, I feel family because at home is where my family is and where everybody is happy together. When I am at home, I feel peace by being with my family and friends, which makes me feel happy and peace. At home I feel safe because I have my family to protect me. And at home there is locks to lock doors. But my family will still protect me. My home is calm because when I hear my family, I feel calm. I like helping my mom or dad, it makes me feel calm. At home, I have fun by being with my family, or I like helping my mom cook or help my dad with his homework or take care of my little sister. What does home mean to you? By: Khadija
