The Recipe of Home

I can see my family talking happily in the cozy dining room. The sound of laughter fills the room, making my spirits high. I can smell the delicious meals made with care in the kitchen. I can touch the warm blanket put around my shoulders during the coldest of winter. I can taste the delicious food set before me in the dining room. Home, my favourite place on Earth. Filled with love and comfort. If there is a recipe for home, there would be one spoonful of love. Something that touches your heart everytime someone says “I love you.” A teaspoon of laughter made by members of the family every time someone says a joke. Half a cup of comfort for when one's feelings are hurt. A teaspoon of coziness would keep you warm even in the bitter cold of winter. A house protects people and a home warms their souls. I am thankful that The Habitat For Humanity is building affordable homes so that everyone has an opportunity to live a comfortable life. I believe that homes are for everyone and everyone deserves a home.
