What is Home

Anywhere can be home, a tree fort, a classroom, anything can be home. But you must make it home. Workers build houses, and people make them homes. My home is where I was born, and where I decided would be my home. It may have been small, but every time I see that place, I will think home. Home is a word that when someone says, everyone who hears it will think of one place. Everyone’s home is their choice, and nobody should be able to take that privilege away no matter what. Choosing a home should always never have requirements. Home to me is a place that deserves its name. Where I belong is home, I will see home as one place and one place only. Anyone can decide what home is, even if it is sitting with family, or being at a soccer field anyone can decide. Even if the word is repetitive, it means a lot. Home is a place that my family has created for me, all the memories by the fire, or eating the best home-made pasta, this is what the word home means to me. Playing soccer in the basement with my brother, going to the park with my friends, this is what home means to me. Hanging out with my parents by the fire, or talking at the dinner table, this is what home means to me. Sitting in a blow-up pool in the backyard with my brother, this is what home means to me. Mostly anywhere is home when I’m with family. Thank you to habitat for humanity for giving homes to people who really need it. Its important to have a loving, comfy, home for everyone. This is what the world needs, what everyone needs a home.
