Home

Home is warm. Not hot, nor cold but warm. Not hot enough to make me melt. Nor cold enough to make me freeze. Warm enough to make me smile. My family and stuffies give me warm hugs in my home when I stumble over sadness. It makes me smile. My home has warm food made with spices on a warm pan. It makes me smile. My home has warm blankets to keep me warm on cold winter nights. It makes me smile. Home is colourful like the rainbow. Red when my sister and I fight like bulls. Orange when everyone sings Happy Birthday and confetti flies over the room. Yellow when we smile at our hard work. Green when we go to sleep after a busy day. Blue when I stay home alone with my sister. Purple when I count my money. Home is a rainbow which stays in the sky that has no limits to dreams. Home is my room, the bright blue room where it’s cozy. Home is my house, the place where my family crunches popcorn while watching a scary movie. Home is my neighbourhood, where I go to school and play in the parks. Home is my city, where I go shopping. Home is my province, where I go sightseeing. Home is my country, where I savour maple syrup on my pancake and find maple leaves. Home is my continent, where I feel safe because we respect and value each other. Home is my world, where I have the right to live and travel. Home is my universe where there are endless things to explore. Home is my imagination where there are no limits.
